For years, magicians have explored the idea of transforming an ordinary object into a playing card. And for every version, spectators around the world lost their collective minds.

It's a plot that just works. Take something familiar, make it become something impossible, and watch the moment work its magic.

So Craig Petty and Lloyd Barnes started asking themselves a simple question:

How do we take this idea even further?

The answer was FUEL.

Imagine having a card selected and signed. The card is lost back into the deck, as you place a lighter you've been using the entire show into their hands.

The card vanishes from the deck... as you say...

"Would it be amazing if your card appeared UNDER the lighter in your hands..."

"Would it be amazing if your card appeared INSIDE the lighter?

"Would it be amazing if your card BECAME the lighter?"

It's a statement that makes absolutely no sense. They SAW the lighter go into their hand, and they STILL FEEL it sitting there!

But when they open their hands, the lighter is gone. The piece of rigid plastic, flint, and lighter fluid has become a piece of wobbly card paper, with a lighter print on one side, and their signature on the other.

This is FUEL.

We get it. We were completely skeptical at first too.

How does a spectator not feel the difference between a lighter and a piece of paper?

It includes every single performance we filmed of Fuel because every reaction was insane! Not a single one hit the cutting room floor.

I personally walked into that filming session questioning Craig and Lloyd's sanity, but I walked out a true believer.

And this part is even crazier to me... Craig didn't even use a real lighter for most of those performances!

No real lighter to have to manage.

No awkward switch.

No need to light anything beforehand to convince them that it's real.

To be fair, he does teach you how to switch a lighter in and out of play in the tutorial, but you'll see from the trailer performances that it simply isn't necessary.

So what do you actually get with FUEL?

You receive 40 fuel gimmicks, 20 big lighter gimmicks, and 20 mini lighter gimmicks.

And each gimmick is designed to accomplish to different versions of the effect.

The big lighter is built for the visual change. You hold the lighter in your hands and, they stare right at the lighter in your hand until the moment you decide to unfold it to reveal their signature.

The mini lighter is built for the in the hands version. It goes into the spectator's hands, where they're convinced that they are holding a lighter, until they open their hands to discover it is their signed playing card.
